15 Kids and Counting Empty 15 Kids and Counting

I don´t think I will be watching the above programme on Ch4 tonight as just reading the synopsis gets me cross and I can´t afford to replace the TV should I throw something at it.

If they are not claiming then why not, they may all end up good hard working kids. My Nan had 15 kids, all the ones that are still alive are very affluent and never claimed any benefits apart from one. He had a brain tumour at 23 years old and was given 2 years max to live, He is now 81 and has had a triple heart by pass. He did suffer some brain damage but that did not stop him working and still does a bit of voluntary work. He has had to claim some benefits as limited to what he could do.

I couldn't resist it and have to admit they were beautiful families. I thought it would be scroungers who couldn´t keep it in their pants and we (because I still pay tax in the UK) would be paying them for the pleasure. But both families had jobs and while they must receive a lot in family allowance they certainly were not expecting hand-outs which was very refreshing.

HOWEVER there has got to be something wrong with them to be considering having the next baby before they have given birth to the present one.
