Didn't know El Classico was on 'til I saw your post CC. I'll have a gander at that. As Real Madrid are at home, I'm going for a 2:1 win to Real!
Beats watching Dunfermline V Inverness Caley anyday!

Just saw final score, o dear...
This along with their position in the league will no doubt impact sorely on Dunfermline’s, if not the whole of Scotland’s economy...

National Teams !!!
Accept What You Are....
Euro 2004, Faroe Islands v Scotland.
Was in local up in Scotland at the time, start of game was delayed due to the Faroe’s having to wait for a couple of fishing boats to come in so they could find eleven players.
Half time comes and Scotland are down by one or two goals.
Atmosphere in pub was pretty quiet, the pundits of the day were on TV giving their analysis of the first 45 minutes, at the same time the public could text in their views of the situation which came up as “telly print” on the bottom of the TV screen...
Texts tended to read:-
Change to a 3-4-3 formation...
Put so and so up front and pull Joe Blogs back in to defence...
Get rid of Berti Vogts, etc, etc...
It would seem as if no one was taking any notice of the pundits talk or the text messages, then a text came up.............
“FORGET EURO 2004, ANY CHANCE OF GETTING A TEAM TOGETHER FOR MARS 2040”
Total round of applause from everyone in the pub.
Its knowing when your shite and having the balls to admit it.....................
Ha,Ha, Ha, .....
"To see oursels as ithers see us"

The return leg at Camp Nou is on tonight at 9pm.
The score is 2 v 1 to Barcelona from the previous leg and I reckon Barca will pile the pressure on Mourinho by humping them 3 v 1.

Tenerife will be promoted as a tourist destination during the King's Cup (Copa del Rey) match between Barca and Real Madrid at Camp Nou. Don´t know where you will be watching it but for us it is broadcast on Canal+, and there will be two 20 second adverts that will highlight the spring temperature which can be enjoyed on the island at this time of year.
The Minister of Tourism highlights the opportunity to promote Tenerife in an event with an audience of millions not only in Spain but in Europe and the rest of the world. The Minister added that the announcement will contain images suggesting the tourist attractions of the island accompanied by a message that will invite viewers to come and enjoy Tenerife.

Hey, bit strong Cam, just cos I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for the lurkers.
Liverpool – City match tonight, Scots mate down again...
Last time he was down we were speaking to a girl who occasionally drinks in the local, her and husband run a pub on the other side of town, but live this side, hearing both our Scottish accents she informed us she was running a Burns Night in her bar and invited us to drop in.
Discussing with my mate later, he thought he may be back down on business today, but decide against it, when I had asked her what time it started (I’m thinking Haggis piped in etc), she said its running all day !!!, Don’t know if that means, haggis on the pub grub special board ! Feel a bit of a traitor in both respects not going, sods law she’ll turn up for a late drink tonight after she shuts her place....
