Had a bit of argument with some youngsters over this best player ever business, recently. Same as most sports, different game now, ball is made for crossing etc, pitch is special and boots aerodynamic. This with special diets etc makes them more advanced but no better skilled.

Yep, when I first started playing badminton at 16, the racquets were made of wood and weighed about half a pound! The one I'm using now is 84gms! Less than 3 ounces!
