Traveller Rest PDLA is the boss/owner well know...

as a snooker player or darts player back in the UK

Wife's work colleague has not long since return from 28 days on the rock and they were chatting about apartments they stayed in (Colon II didn't rate it) and got onto talking about bars and they had been in and the Travellers Rest (next door to Leonardo's) was the regular haunt and she said the boss/owner was always telling them he had been a well know snooker (could have been darts though !) back in the UK but they were none the wiser.

Anyone know of him, as a former snooker/darts player he claimed to have been quite well know for it back in UK, they thought he was just probably just a barman winding them up.

One of my neighbours used to be the manager of Leonardos, he is at work at the moment but I spoke to his house mate about this guy - he said he knew him but was a scrawny little fellow (so assume snooker rather than darts as they usually have beer bellies) but he had never heard of him being the least bit famous. We are now on a mission to see if anyone knows anything more

the only thing I do remember is not to drink they bottles of cider he has for sale again,

6 Euros a bottle!! didn't know till we got the bill!!! and there were 4 of us there for a coupla hours!!

Must be snooker unless lost loads of weight, although odd darts player skinny, Kevin Kenny for example.

When we were in a couple of times back in December he never said nowt and it's him the weaslie looking bloke wasn't the most pleasant of chaps little or no banter as opposed to the women she was very pleasant and chatty.

Suspect he's either been winding them up even though he doesn't come across as the chatty/banter kind or it was someone else bigin up there talents way beyond there actual achievements.
