How to get rid of unsolicited phone calls.

I'm signed up for TPS and don't give my number to many people, so our home phone is pretty quiet.

However, last week the calls started coming in thick and fast .....

Can I speak with soandso please ? No, you have the wrong number.

Can I speak with soandso please ? No, she doesn't live here.

Can I speak with soandso please ? No, and stop calling me.

Can I speak with soandso please ? No, and take this number off your database.

Can I speak with soandso please ? FU*K OFF !

They just kept on coming.

Sunday was nice and quiet.

Then Monday morning at 08:30 they started again and kept calling till about 21:00.

Tuesday - new tactic .....

Can I speak with soandso please ? No, she died at the weekend.

When would be a good time to call back then ? Do you understand English, you cretin - she's dead.

Oh, I'm so sorry - bye.

No phone calls today - fingers crossed. :luck:

We're on TPS as well but lately we've been inundated with these calls. Even my work's mobile is getting them!

I signed up to them about 3 weeks ago, the calls have tailed off a bit. I am generally very abusive to them, dont think thats illegal yet, about half are suntans............

Most of the ones I get are for homeowners,so I either slam the phone down or say I rent

I do exactly the same with witheld numbers on my mobile. The amount of phone calls I've missed from my bank manager is huge!
