Do you think that Dwain Chambers the sprinter who failed a drug test in 2003, subsequently admitting the use of performance enhancing substances - was banned from athletics for two years, - was stripped of his medals - paid a fine and has a ban from the Olympic Games for life.

Should he be allowed to take part in the Olympics.

The UK is the only country that imposes this lifetime ban - other countries impose a 6 month ban to their athletes

Has Chambers been punished enough and are we now punishing the UK as a whole because our best athlete is forbidden to race.

My view - everyone is entitled to make one mistake, he is a world champion, let him win the medals for Britain and stop all the others who have done the same from laughing at us while they are take part.

Life means life, rules are rules he knew them & the consequences and still choose to break them.

and I also believe it should be a life for a life but that's a whole different debate. Should life mean life? 3194688309

Agree, life for a life hang em high, and all that but as TD says why should we be the only ones that bar our athletes when others do it for just 6 months. Who is the one that suffers there only the UK bottom of the medal table ...... plonkers Rodders, plonkers.

I believe he should be given another chance if he is genuinely sorry for what he did.
    Everybody deserves a second chance.
What kind of world would we live in if everyone that made a mistake was ostracised.
Regarding a life for a life, it's a tough question and should be debated but the miscarriages of justice that have been carried out quite frequently in Britain and Ireland put me off the idea completely.

People like Roy Whiteing though, obviously no chance of him having not killed Sarah, why are we paying to keep him alive. If ot was to make someone suffer because they had guilt niggling away at them, fair enough, but nah just terminate the nasty useless pillock.
