Great voices you could listen to all day...

Caught the new Visit Scotland advert last night, love those adverts fantastic piece of music is used Paul Mounsey - North. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Anyway, OH half asks who's voice is narrating the advert as she recognised it, (of course I knew) its Neil Oliver from the superb programme Coast.

Bit of a follow on from the 'do you have an accent' thread but I could listen certain voices all day, 3 in particular Morgan Freeman Neil Oilver & actor John Hannah they could reading/narrating the telephone book but it would be captivating.

Love the Scottish accent & Irish accents.

Richard Burton, Michael Palin, John hurt, Orville the Duck ? Nah forget that one

Bernard Hill (remember Yosser Hughes) does a lot of those nature programmes narratives. I quite like him. Oh, and what about Ringo Starr doing Thomas the Tank Engine? Liked that too...

Paul Newman had a great "gravelly" voice in later years and Peter Ustinov was brilliant. They said he could speak 5 languages fluently and bullshit through another 5 so convincingly, you would swear he was fluent in these as well

Remember Carl Sagan in the series "Cosmos" in the 70s. His voice had me listening to every word...

Carl Sagan used to love his programmes nd your right Richard Burton is War of the Worlds (along with Austin Haywards Forever Autumn take them out and it's boring).
