Great experience Vera, but try it with a ground attachment first, Some go about 100 ft in the air whilst still anchored, to give you a taste.

I did like the idea of a balloon ride but this has put me off it now.

I haven´t done it but bought it for OH's birthday one year. He said it was fab. couldn't believe how quiet it was up there and would love to do it again. Me .... I'd rather keep my feet on the ground.

So did I! When I first came to Tenerife, the balloon was my reference landmark in case I got lost. I think they took it away as the "Elf & Safety" people wouldn't let it fly if the wind was above a certain speed. (Which it nearly always was, so the feckin' thing was on the ground more than in the air!).
But I used to love going up in it and getting a few photos.

Sure was a landmark, we used to say walk past the balloon and do a right on way back from Los Cris to Hotel.

I've just had a quick look on google and can´t find any images of it. You would think there would be loads as it was such a well known landmark but I can find zilch. :cry2:

You're right about it being difficult to find. That was a photo VW put on the old TF in 2008.
