I love the editors comment Canarian Weekly would like to suggest that the Tourist Research Department that carry out the survey come and visit the resorts in the south of Tenerife, as at present, there appear not enough colours in the rainbow for all of the wrist bands that we see here on a daily basis.

I know this is a regular that gets a few backs up but why would you want to go AI in Tenerife unless you intend on just staying in the hotel, why then choose Tenerife as cheaper options if you do not want to sample the local delights.
I Went half board once as it was part of a cruise and stay package and it was a waste really as we had great food in the hotel, but it was dining in the same restaurant each night, which we did not do on the cruise ship, so we went out 3/7.
To me AI and Full or Half Board kills a local resortand should be limited to a small amount of local tourist industry. Yes no argument there is a market but that market will eventually ruin a destination if allowed to grow too big.
Obviously some destinations require AI due to sefety etc...different module.
