Guardiola to walk? Empty Guardiola to walk?

    Post by CaribeCelt Fri 27 Apr 2012 - 10:40

I see Pep Guardiola is having a press conference this morning to discuss his future.
The rumours are he is going to walk and Bilbao manager Marcelo Bielsa will take over.
Guardiola is probably going, not because he think this Barca team is finished, but of the pressure and the politics of being at that club...Bobby Robson said the pressure was unreal with behind the scenes back stabbing an everyday occurrence.
I believe that Barca have another couple of European cups in them if they sign a couple of defenders and can come up with a plan B when their game is stopped by teams who just let them pass and retreat to their own box and defend like lions, which Barca seem unable to come up with any alternatives to,which has happened regularly this season.
Mr Mourinho will probably claim now to have "broke" GuardiolaGuardiola to walk? 3025408739

Great manager of arguably the greatest club side the world has ever seen, but it's always been known as a club riddle with internal politics.

If Barca have the Bilbao manager can United will have the entire Bilbao side please. Guardiola to walk? 3711883763

Worry is that if Bielsa goes to the Nou Camp, then all of United's trips to scout the Bilbao players they fancy (De Marcos, Muniain & Javi Martinez) will be in vain, as they head to the Catalan coastline instead of the North West of England.

The guy that is on the Spanish football show on Sky, Guillem Balague, reckons that Barca have a few Bilbao players wrapped up already.
He is usually spot on,a very good journalist with top class sources within lots of Spanish clubs.

I was very impressed with all of Bilbao's midfield this year. Barca have only one way of playing, pass it round you but it always goes through the middle. They have no width so maybe a couple of wingers/full backs and a central defender. ( Criticising that team is like saying that Angeline Jolie would look better with different earrings)

But your right no matter how good they are.
They need defenders and a bit of width....in the Barca style of play Alves was playing nearly like a winger...and there is no overlapping on the wings at all, which your eventually gonna get caught out playin like that
If that Barca team, with a few additions, play their passing game with a wee bit more orthodoxy in their system they could become even better.imo.
