    That law is on the books so dibble can nick you as and when he feels like it. The interpretation is strictly down to the plod on duty at the time.

    I don't know mate. I think Parliament would have to debate it, then it gets 3 bloody readings, then sent to the Lords with their changes on it, then back to the Commons...3 ringed bloody circus.

    UP BEFORE THE BEAK.............THE up bit is because people used to come up from the cells to be tried, hence then being sent down. I think it is still up in many courts holding cells now.
    Beak is possibly because Judges were deemed to have big noses, also sticking their noses in.
    Beak probably had a say in us calling the feds the Bill.

    That is correct, but some say it dates back even further to The Beak and the Bill, nosey bassa's.
    Probably a bit like being hungry, Lee Marvin, Hank Marvin, different ways.
