Thank feck! I was beginning to believe all that hype about Scotland doing a deal with Libya! Well, he got 2 years longer but I don't think he had much quality of life.

Should have tested cancer drugs on him like they do lab animals, you know like 500 fags a day then whack him full of chemicals that are debilitating and aggressive.

Re: The Lockerbie bomber is dead.
Apparently they filled him with several "new" anti cancer drugs, so maybe they did experiment on him. It would be nice to think that some good came from the bassa

Re: The Lockerbie bomber is dead.
Now I don't mean to cause offence,I am just asking a question.
A lot of people reckon this boy wasn't responsible for Lockerbie,John Pilger,Robert Fisk included.
Any thoughts on it.
Just trying to start debate.

Don't know about this John Pilger fella to comment. Robert Fisk mind you, I have always respected his opinions. I'm going to have a quick read about this before I make a comment

I read a lot on this and I believe he was not alone but also believe he had some input. He was not innocent of knowing something but whether it was just being part of the plot we won't know.

I didnt want to be ostracized for saying the same thing. Not the only innocent in Britain's prisons either.

Re: The Lockerbie bomber is dead.
Evidence proves he was 'in on it' but clearly didn't act alone but he'll have been well aware he had drawn the short straw and was inline to take the fall.

Re: The Lockerbie bomber is dead.
I dunno, I think Gaddafi must have played some role in it even if it was just logistical/financing. Have been doing some reading on this. There are a hell of a lot of people out there that believe he was innocent, particularly from Scotland, which I find strange.

Why do you think Gaddafi played some role in it?
Any particular bit of evidence that swayed you in that direction???

Re: The Lockerbie bomber is dead.
Just going on the assumption that he funded the IRA ( supposedly) around that time and by extension, would he not be implicated in further acts against the UK and US??

I find it fascinating to be honest.
A terrible tragedy and murky affair that reads like spy novel.

Don’t really know enough about this to comment, but can recall my mate who reads in depth in to such things commenting at time of the trial there were a lot of unanswered questions as to his guilt.
My view, if he had a finger in the pie, fu#k him.........
