Whats a long life?

As TD posted "he had a good long life" when Robin Gibbs died at 62 I was wondering if some of our members of a more mature age would think they have had a long life if they snuffed it at that age. For some of us the cut off point is approaching way too fast I can tell you.

Don't care how long I live, as long as my kids bury me not the other way round

a long life in number of years? That would depend on how independent I will be. e.g. if I'm still hale n hearty at 95 and I'm completely independent then that is a long life. I will be happy if I make it to 75 tbh.

I think if I get to my 80s I'll have had a long life. I know when I was a kid most of the "old" people died in their seventies.

I meant he had a long life in the sense that some people do very little in 90 years, others do a great deal in 30. He did an awful lot and also compared to the kids that died in the house fire recently, he had a long life.
My Dad died at 65, but compared to some he did as much with his life as a an average 120 year old, if you get my drift.

62 is only a baby as far as im concerned..... i want to be still fit and healthy when i get my letter off queenie

Missed point here, in comparison with many that die young or do nowt, but still you are all old compared to me and 3D
