House Demolished in the south of Tenerife

The Environmental Protection Agency Urban and Natural de Canarias (Apmun) has begun the demolition of a building located on rural land in the municipality of Adeje.

The building was begun without the urban regulatory approvals in 1999, the date on which a complaint led to the opening of disciplinary proceedings. In 2002 a fine of 37,563 Euros and the obligation to restore land to original conditions was imposed.

Do you think they will demolish the Medano Hotel?

No, it is a bit of an icon and has been under threat so many times but nothing has happened. I think I read somewhere though that it was not the hotel but the pier that juts into the sea.
