I have met and spoken to Prince Edward. I said sorry when he almost tripped over my dog.

Re: Famous People
Mine would be football related mostly.
Jack Charlton,Henrik Larsson,Billy McNeill,Neil Lennon and Tommy Burns.
Tommy Burns was a gentleman and came on the tour of Celtic Park with our group...Celtic's game with Partick Thistle was called off and it was him who arranged the tour for us.

Re: Famous People
In my youth I had a couple of dates with Alan Clark of the Hollies. John Rogan was engaged to my then fiance's sister so I used to spend a bit of time with Adam Faith. My eldest daughter went to school with Bros. and Olly Wakeman (Rick's son) used to always be at my house when I lived in Camberley.
My father in law was a friend of Pandit Nehru but I don´t suppose that counts.

Yes he wanted him to go to India and set up an engineering company and my mother in law said I'm not going there they are all bloody foreign - she used to live in Harrow where it used to be 1:4 were Indian.

Re: Famous People
I worked at Gatwick when home on leave, years back and did Breakfast for Bowie, Kate Bush and Thatcher. We also used to Olly Reed as a regular and David McCullum. I did lunch for Sir Freddie Laker most days.
I know Sally Gunnell quite well and chat to Chris Eubanks now and then, but when we run the charity I had a go at some geezers in a black car for parking too close to an ambulance and it was Chris Tarrant, who is a fab bloke.
I was parked in Selfridges car park in London a couple of years back and when I went to get my ticket paid (you do it in the store) a stunning but later years lady got in the lift and said Hi floor 2 please, It was Stephanie Beecham, she was stunning too.
My biggest one is we used to go and stay with some friends in North London, Elm Park, when I was a kid and Mike Reid (comedian flavour) was brother in law to the people who were Mum and Dads friend, he stayed friends with Dad.
Leo Sayers mum lived next door to my Dad's best lifelong mate, as he is a Shoreham boy and Steve Ellis of love Affair has worked with me, I like him and still chat with him now and then, another local boy.
Oh and as you know Gordon the swearing Chef, not in real life, top bloke.

Eric Sykes bought us a bottle of Champagne in the George Hotel Liverpool when we got engaged, he was on the dining table next to us. Jo Brand is a lovely lady in real life, too.

Re: Famous People
Thing is about Catering you meet a lot of famous peeps and also living in Brighton too. When I said about Chris Eubanks, I boxed for the same club as him but a while before he. When we had the kids charity and we were doing a sports auction he was superb. He is a very friendly chap and often has coffee in a place in central Brighton, say what you want, he is a winner in my books.
Oh and did a function down the road from here for a friend and Beryl Reid and The woman who defrosts cattle was there, Thora Hurd.

(Amazing how some have a way with words, section lifted from wiki)
On 1 December 2000, Savident was stabbed in the neck by Michael Smith who claimed he was acting in self-defence. Savident said at the time "I suddenly felt somebody come up behind me and whizz me round so I was face down on the bed and then I felt a prick on my throat".Savident had met Smith in a gay bar. They then went to Savident's home apparently to discuss the theatre which Smith claimed was a euphemism for sex. The next week on Coronation Street the large sticking plaster on his character's neck was explained as a "butchering accident".

Re: Famous People
Ray Reardon taught me how to play darts when I was about 5... and told me there was a little man inside the pool table who threw the balls out when you put money in the slot. He also bought me a massive Bambi book for my birthday.
I've served a few footballers from behind the bar in the past (Southampton mainly). I had a glass of champagne with Ross Kemp when he appeared in our nightclub years ago. Very shy and charming... and terrified of Pompey women lol
Stephen Marcus (Nick The Greek rom "Lock Stock") used to come round my house at lot around 1990, and I fixed him up with my friend Ana.
No one really REALLY famous then. Oh but I do have Johnny Depp tied up naked in my bedroom!
