Don't know what this had to do with the yacht race but I spotted it walking through Galway
This is the main pedestrianised street in Galway appropriately named Shop St.

This is the city basilica. Haven't got a clue what it;s called. The roof is green cos its made from copper ( I think)

The river Corrib that flows through Galway

The next few photos are from the marina. ( Its normally called the "docks" but they've tarted up the name for the festival. The first one is of the race winner

There must have been 200 other boats there along with the 8 ocean going yachts.

Someone told this Scotsman there was a fiver stuck to the top of the mast
