Skara Brae, a neo-lithic village which is older than Stonehenge and the Great Pyramids is the most complete neo-lithic (new stone age) village in Europe. I loved walking round this place!

Mermaid at the entrance to a reconstructed one, the rest are actual building remains...

Cracking spot to build a golf course! Just bulldoze over all those old ruins, build a few green and bunkers and away you'd go!
Seriously though, how old were those ruins, 6000 years??

4,500 - 5,000 years old D. Click the Skara Brae link at the top of the first post and it tells you all about them.

Edit: I had to go in as Tonto as internet connection went down and I lost all my posts. This way I can see what I missed! Skara Brae, Orkney 4226408756
