BBC News. In an effort to create a level playing field, UK lorries are charged for using European roads, the government is to announce a plan to start charging foreign lorry drivers to use British roads. The A.A. is worried it could lead to a universal road charging scheme for all motorists.

Can´t see anything wrong with the plan - if UK lorries have to pay in Europe then it should be no surprise if European lorries have to pay a similar fee (quid pro quo). Why it should affect other road users is beyond me

Wont be long before they're putting micro chips in cars, drive past a recieiver and get charged. They can already know where you are and where you have been if you leave your phone switched on. Big brother is watching.......
