The New Musical Express have featured one of our members 'song videos' on their website. It is an old recording made in 1977 by Joel David and one of the tracks was played over a scene in Corrie last Monday. Well done Joel, hope it makes you enough to buy a pint, but back in the day not much notice was taken to royalties so you'll probably get nowt !!

I can´t find a vid of the single track this is the one from NME [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] but for me it won´t load so perhaps this will give you an idea

it is nice and smooth makes me want to do a bit of slow rhythm around the living room (Or is that just because Strictly Ballroom started last night)

Thank you so very much for your post Gypsy, and thank you for your comments on the 'track' the musicians were amazing to work with, all of them were real veteran jazz men, some of them are no longer with us and i'm thrilled that the recording has been resurected. Best wishes, Joel.

Good Morning all, It's monsoon season here in Blighty but i had a little ray of sunshine watching 'Corrie' last night, they featured an old song of mine that i wrote and recorded 35 years ago called BE MY VALENTINE TONIGHT. I wrote the song for my Mum & Dads 40th wedding anniversary on the 14th of Feb 1978. Tis a bit 'cheesy' but the muso's were good and the 'Corrie' gang like it...

Thank you for that 3rd Forum, to be compared to the impecable Matt Munroe is indeed an accolade,he surely would have been U.K.s answer to Frank Sinatra had he have lived. Really do appreciate your comment.

Heyup peeps. Sergei has decided that we should sponsor Coronation Street and you can see us trying to act on every episode! Sergei is very scared of Tyrones girlfriend. He said she looks like fearsome Somali Slender Mongoose but I told him not to worry, just a mongrel.
