    Neighbours Empty Neighbours

    Post by Gypsy Sun 16 Sep 2012 - 18:52

You may remember when I lost my boys from next door I was upset because they were lovely neighbours.

The new people who moved in are Spanish and I thought, here we go, lots of noise, moving furniture at all hours etc etc but not the least bit true.

They welcomed us back home today with some home-made pancakes pocketing chocolate sauce (bang goes the diet) just finished eating them for pudding gorgeous. They have a Siamese kitten (she has just been spayed and is currently confined to being kept indoors) She has apparently been missing peeking through our window at my girls. Her name is Dora and she is a real explorer. So I am very lucky that I live sandwiched between two Spanish families both of whom are ideal neighbours. Do you have good neighbours?

Yes we have good neighbours, Austrian they are and have a delightful little boy called Romeo (about 2) who is as good as gold. They love the cats (phew) and often play with them so it's all good this side. Other side is empty Dancing

My neighbour in Tenerife is a Spanish Padre, looks like a monk. Never makes a noise. Other side empty, above empty. Good.

Got new neighbours, girl and occasionally her boyfriend both in their early thirty’s, she wrote me a nice note explaining the walls between our bedrooms were very thin and that noise carried, I returned the note adding at the bottom "feel free to join in any time she wished", broke the ice...

Could have wrote back "I know, every Sat and Sunday morning at 10, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ahhh,,," Could set you watch by it......

I have Bhangla's on one side who are great, they have family Restaurants and we get on very well. On the other side are Amee, Quince and Indie who are incredibly nice people. These have a body piercing and Tattoo business and are the best you could ask for.

Dave I feel certain they do talk, it’s just the Glaswegian accents impossible to understand.

As some one said I am racist, very strange that one side of my neighbours are Muslim and the other side are Rasta and mixed race, most of our street get on and it is great. Big Black guy moved in on the corner, "hello man, Ok if I park here" (outside my house), "yes mate no problem, you can't park outside your house coz I have". I ask him if he wanted me to move, he said "no, if I walk out me gate and get straight in the car I won't get to know the locals". TNT driver 3 doors down knocked on the door the other day 10lb of fresh Cod he had just caught. Out hoovering the car t'other day and must have stopped 8 times to chat with the locals, nice area this.

David, totally understand your dilemma, downloaded this from the internet, thought it may help, I can recall my parents watching the program for educational reasons only, they allowed me to watch as they felt it would help me communicate with the Glasgow overspill family which had been re-housed adjacent to us in Edinburgh, Edinburgh is located some 40/50 miles due east of Glasgow...

    Best regards

    Adam
