House prices in UK are supposed to be slowing down but ours has gone up by 12% in 3 years, not bad really. Bring it on and I may be tempted.

According to News in the Sun this week, this is what is happening here
House prices continue to tumble across Spain with average values down almost 33 per cent since the start of the financial meltdown in 2007, with the latest figures for September showing a year on year decrease of 11.6 per cent.
The Canary Islands have fared a little better than many parts of the country with prices down 28.6 over the same period, little comfort for those who have seen the value of their homes fall by almost a third since the heady days of December 2007.
As bad as the situation in the Canary Islands is, it is dwarfed by some areas of the Mediterranean coast, which have seen values plummet by more than 40 per cent.

I said this before, If your not selling it dosent matter if there worth 10p, People buy cars clothes holidays and all cost thousand in depreciation, But when people buy property they think it should go up and up and up, Why ?,
They believe one day they will be millionairs, , Thinking like that, Its your home for christs sake,

Ours are down by 50% but have started rising slowly over the last 3/4 months. We're not in negative equity but more than 1/3 of mortgage holders here are. However, I agree with Reg, negative equity only makes any sense if you are selling your house. If not, it doesn't have any importance.

I'm with Reg on this. If you don't intend selling it, what the feck does it matter? If you do sell it, then you have to buy another...easy come, easy go...

I may buy but only for investment, get a couple of bad jobs and pay bro to do them up.Lone Ranger wrote:I'm with Reg on this. If you don't intend selling it, what the feck does it matter? If you do sell it, then you have to buy another...easy come, easy go...
Might just stick dollar in high interest till see a good bargain, but there again might just rent it out and see if prices fall, then sell. 4 bed house here gets 1400 a month so may be best option.

Yeah, nice young peasants you got next door though Reg, easy on the eye. And talking of eyes, you can spot them easy enough at night too eh?
