Tenerife Restaurant reviews on Tripadvisor

This is a bit of an eye opener for anyone who thinks Tripadvisor is the best place to go for accurate information.

I know some of the restaurants that are coming in the top 3 in each area but I certainly wouldn´t have given them that ranking. What about you.

I have never been to any of those mentioned so cannot comment.

I have only been to the curry house and it was OK. May try one or two and give you my opinion.

Currently 'First Love' is getting some right rave reviews on Tripadvisor.

I don't know why. We went on the first night we arrived and what a disappointment! We both ordered fillet steak which was on the menu. No, they didn't have any fillet steak but would substitute it with some other kind of 'steak'. My husband had this 'steak' which was like rubber tyres and I decided to try the lasagne - it is Italian-owned so I thought this is going to be good. Couldn't find any beef in it, it was pathetic. Also the starters (brushcetta) were pathetic too for an 'Italian chef'.

We definitely won't be back ...............................

So did you put your review on Tripadviser as they certainly need a few honest write ups as opposed to all the friends and family of various restaurants saying how wonderful every thing is. If someone drank from the finger bowl by mistake they would say it was the best soup they had ever tasted.

Yes I did! In future we will stick with our tried and tested favourite places.

OK Gypsy, no problem.

My favourite is the Original Bistro in Los Cristianos, it's always consistent - great food.

Also like Carlos restaurant at the side of Club Atlantis, Khong Tsha Chinese and Krishna II for Indian.

Where do you recommend Gypsy?

Only been to the Original Bistro once and it was good, not been to any of the others. I like Piccolo for Italian and in Las Americas Karina.

Ooo, We was in piccolo a few weeks back, Didnt book, But the guy said would you like to wait, have a drink, He looked at a young spanish couple who had finished, but was talking blox for a bit, He said maybe 10 minutes, He gave us another table 30 minutes later, He gave the couple a right lionel every time he went past, But our evening was nice and calm, We strolled back along the surf to our place, carrying our shoes, the moon was bright, the sea was calm, it was one of those magical evenings you never forget, Ooo sorry i was drifting off, Yeh, piccolo's
