Thats a bit "all encompassing" Adam. A "herd" mentality takes over when people are in a crowd and it was up to the police to control this.

Fact though, some of the Hoolies have to take it for the innocent dead. If we had not been riddle with nutters at this time maybe the herd would have been safer.

I dunno Kev, you might possibly say that police tactics were as a result of dealing with the hooligan element that prevailed in the 80's, but the coppers obviously felt guilty about something, otherwise why try to cover it up?

AGREE D, but the hooligans exhausted everyone and they should have got the ring leaders and thrown the keys away, police could have done what they should be doing. They defoe got it wrong tho.
