So, your house catches fire cos you left the toast to long in the toaster, guy driving down the road outside the house drives in to the smoke, mounts the pavement and kills a kid, oh it’s your fault, but your defence, the toaster timer failed, so it’s the manufacturers fault, but the manufacturer only guaranteed the toaster for a year and its now three years old, so it’s still your fault as you failed to maintaining the toaster... Yes/No ??????



Or another scenario, I’m in my new car (still under warranty), driving down the road at midnight, the lights fail but I keep driving, the cops stop me and charge me for driving with no lights, I go to court and explain that it not my fault the lights failed etc, etc,............... Don’t think so...

Insurance, Organiser will have it, There going to pay for it all, Then next year we will pay it back,

Motorways suck you in to feeling secure, Mile after mile of having to do nothing, Then Bam you realise you cant stop quickly, How many of us have had a close call and a bowel movement, Wakes you up pronto, Maybe they wasnt expecting smoke or fog, but you really should expect the unexpected, Easy to say, Some of us are lucky, and some are not, It was an accident, But we need to blame somebody, I was reading today about one of those house designers off the tele, They were in court because a tree fell on somebody,??, WTF trees fall over all the time, Health and safety issue ??,

When I heard it on radio today wondered how he could be charged with there deaths.
Sister lives in Taunton she knew the fireworks display was happened all planned and properly arranged permissions granted by councils & police authorities but Mother Nature had the biggest say and ultimately that caused it.

She isn't aware of anyone that blames him for deaths and she works with someone's who lost a family member.

Gives the lawyers something to chew on. Earning nowt from house sales these days. I feel so sorry for all the law school graduates who cant get jobs.

Case History !



One of our drivers over filled his vans diesel engine with oil, got to a roundabout not far from the depot, the centrifugal force due to him going round the roundabout caused the oil to ride up one side if the engine sump/crankcase high enough to get drawn in to the engine breather pipe which in turn fed the oil in to the inlet manifold, this in turn caused the engine to “take off” (running at full speed due to running on the oil), our driver drew up just as he exited the roundabout and switched the engine off, this made no difference as it was a diesel and was running on the engine oil sucked in to the manifold. With the engine screaming its head off and exhaust emitting a smoke screen our driver vacated the vehicle and made his way to a safe distance to avoid the smoke/fumes and expected engine explosion.

Before this could happen, a eighteen tonne truck exited the roundabout and ploughed straight in to the back of our van, the driver had no way of seeing it due to the density of the smoke.

On receiving info in relation to the incident I visited the scene as it was not far from our depot, our van was a write off, plus the front of the truck was none to pretty, but at least no one was injured.

Liaising with the police I enquired as to blame/charges etc, expecting us to somehow be held responsible in some way for the incident, only to be told it was completely the truck drivers fault and that he was being charged with diving without due care and attention...

Insurance claim for our written off van went through without any questions being asked.....



Our twat was still disciplined for overfilling his engine...

Helluva thing to have to live with...

I think thats a good decision really, just one those unfortunate things that sometimes happen, Poor bloke didnt plan it, but he has to live with it,
