    He's allowed 12 months on his Argentinian licence, then he has to get a provisional and pass the theory test. I'm sure I read somewhere he had already been warned his Argentinian licence had "run out".

    Many moons ago I used to be a driving instructor and then Italians had to pass UK test too. I had one who used to bring his parrot out on lessons. Good as gold it was. Just perched on parcel shelf looking important. The bloke used to walk down the road with it on his shoulder. Bet he had no problems pulling a bird.     Community service, yip can just imagine that in Manchester, explaining to kids and thugs etc, its wrong to drive without a licence, barred, no insurance, etc...
