Just returned, and I was disappointed with the quality of some,not all, of acts. In one place in LC, the 3 member act The Temptations didnt even turn up, letting the bar owner know 10 minutes before their spot. The night after,in the same bar a singer stood in for another act that failed to appear. The ones I did see were very disappointing, the resident compares were better,ie Brahms and Liszt, Thistle and Dragon, Pleasant Plucker.

They some times say the act didn't turn up when they don't have enough people in in. They keep you there as long as possible, then say they have cancelled. This may or may not have been the case.

Depends what you are looking for, there are some excellent entertainers on the island. Many are resident or semi-resident in bars and you don´t get let down.
Some of my favourites Whiskey and Traveller (of course) but you will rarely here them in the southern resorts because they are a live band play music rather than stuff for folks to talk over the top of.
Pip Brown, Helene Campbell, Simon (King) Billingham, Billy Porter, Indianna, The McCormack Bros. Marc Craig, Elaine Alexander, Nic Paige, Joe Harriett, Dee Daniels I could go on all night, it really depends on what sort of act you like are where you are looking.

Two lovely singers together, unfortunately I only ever hear him by chance as OH doesn´t like that (Motown/Soul crap all sounds the same) his words not mine.
