Saint drops in to luxury hotel

On Sunday guests of the Vincci hotel were amazed to see the fishermen of Los Abrigos, bring the image of San Blasito to the hotel.

In keeping with tradition, the image is taken to Los Abrigos, where it remained until being transported to the hotel, through the pool and down the basement, to the sanctuary at the entrance to the spa. San Blasito, the saint of the hotel, was transported in a small boat and it was difficult to manoeuvre in the surf but porters helped to raise him over the hotel walls.

Many tourists in the facility took the opportunity to use their cameras, although some continued to swim in the pool until the fishing devotees descended the stairs to the spa ... and the sanctuary.

The original image appeared in the San Blas coast, on which the hotel was built in the 70's of last century.

Didn't know it was built in the 70s but I was aware it was the first on the Golf. Still looks mighty fine today, unlike our complex........

Whereabouts are you PS, I have only stayed once in the Golf at the Palms and it was very nice but that was about 8 or 9 years ago. I have been back since as they do great lunches.

My first time in Tenerife was in Las Adelfas on the Golf. Brilliant apartments and we had the Grandee O'Donnel on our doorstep. It was a golfing holiday and we had a great time although it is very quiet in Golf del Sur (unless things have changed!).
That's what made me take Mermaid and our 2 girls to Tenerife.

Green Park, where you will find Sundowners Bar, right opposite Las Adelfas and The Palms. Quiet LR? Have you forgotten about the aircraft? Truth is you get used to em, like being next to a railway. Funny thing about it is I believe it was the second complex to be built on the Golf and they called it Green Park as opposed to the Spanish 'Parque Verde' so even back then the Golf must have been envisaged as a Brit speaking ghetto. Even today there are arrows painted on the road to help you decide which side to drive on! Been there 10 years now, we chose it, we'll live there. To be honest I wanted a little Canarian house way up in the mountain but I was out voted.
