Re: Los Cristianos Market. Come See Us!
We headed out to Alcala Market yesty, nice little town very cute. We were very surprised we did really well, alot of Scandanavian tourist, which seem to love our T's, apparently they like quality stuff. Our T's dont really fit the price range of the markets, as some sell T's at 3-5euro and apparently 100% cotton , but we are happy, proud of what we sell and are sticking with it! I think the market needs something different and a little bit of quality :hi-5:

If you did well in Alcala you may also do well in Playa San Juan, less cheapskate Brits and far more Swedish, German and Finnish tourists.

Re: Los Cristianos Market. Come See Us!
Does anyone know the areas in which the Germans, Swedish, Finnish, Hungarian etc tourists stay? We want to try to set up in a hotel a day or so a week also, but we cant figure out what area they stay in. These tourists are prime customers so would love to know there hideout if anyone knows. Cheers Tif

Think you also need the Russians, I would suggest the Del Duque / La Caleta area - don´t know which hotels as we don´t stay in them but have a wander around the hotels in map ref A - B 1 - 2 square HERE also in square C but only the Anthelia and the Jardines Nivaria the rest are used by Brits and usually families.

As Gypsy says, most of the Germans are in the Del Duque area in the big up-market hotels there.

Re: Los Cristianos Market. Come See Us!
Out of interest do they provide you with the stalls and table tops, awnings etc or do you have your own? Are they dear in Tenerife if so, as I know whether to bring mine. Thanks

Didn´t know you were here at the moment innit - you been down the pool looking for Cru?
Matt - Tif sorry I hate markets, but I have told OH about your t-shirts so maybe next week if you are there we will give it a whirl. Like Reg he also likes Polo shirts but still has loads of t-shirts for during the day, he likes Billabong, Fatface etc. so would imagine yours are similar quality.
I been looking for Linda for weeks but she keeps her head down now Gypsy. Do she still go do you know?

Re: Los Cristianos Market. Come See Us!
It all depends on which market, on what they provide, as each market has a complete different set up and space that they give you. Trust me we learnt the hard way on this one. One stall is usually 2m x 2m. They will always provide you with a table though
Adeje - Sat and Thurs - table, stall frames and cover supplied.
Los Cristianos - Table, stall frames and cover supplied.
Alcala - Table and cover supplied. You can rent the stall frames 5euro. Cannot rent a cover (we had a very hot sunny monday last week)
Torviscos - table, stall frames and cover supplied.
Golf Del Sur - Table supplied. If they have a cover and frames left they will give you, if not you need your own.
Playa San Juan - Table only supplied. Need your own frames and cover if you do not get a spot under an existing cover.
My suggestion would be for all the markets except adeje and LC, bring your own cover and frames or atleast some poles you can attach on the table as it is hit and miss on the spot you get. If you get a spot! It's not easy to get into them as a newbie and you need to go through the admin side after your first trial market.
If you have any more q's let me know
Cheers
