    De ja vu

Made the exact same call last Wednesday night, been with Talk Talk for years but our router has been playing up dropping wifi signal despite claiming its OK, its an old router of mine that a mate set up for wifi some 8 years ago before Talk Talk offered it they had just started offering broadband being a techie he sorted it.

Rang them stating I wanted a new router or I was moving to Sky, they claimed they didn't support the Linksey router so that was the issue and would send one free if I took the TV box.
Told the 'foriegn' person I didn't need the TV box as I had Sky, he suggested putting it in another room wirelessley then claimed I'd need a booster box that cost £35 quid at tht put I started to loose my cool stated what point off 'paying nothing' didn't he understand and as soon as I put the phone down any second now I was ringing Sky.
Needless to say it's all sorted costng me nowt, new router, TV box in another room plus wifi booster for TV and an engineer.

The engineer would arrive between 12-3 last Friday I stated we'd both be at work so he offered me the Friday we are in Belfast (Good Friday) told he no can do so then claimed it would be Saturday 13th April !!! but if i rang up withing 24/72 hours earlier dates could be available.

Haven't rang them back but have twice changed the date by going on line and doing it via their website, much easier you get a text & email confirming the amended date.

Mind it will be last time we use Talk Talk when you do have to ring them you can barely understand the 'foriegn' call centre workers and as I found out if you have an accent they struggle to understand you.

I had to get Janet to ring because i would lose it and launch the lot out of the window, I can put up with a bit of sillyness but i have no room in my head for too much,
I dont know i'm doing it tho ?, A guy once was talking to me and my moby rang, "Hello" Hi Reg have you got any cheap cheap cars just to put me on for a couple of months ?, "Yes i have a swopper you can have for £350 " the punter then asked what colour it was ?, "What fecking colour ? £350 and your asking what colour, I hung up, The guy i was talking to fell on the floor laughing, "Whats funny" i said , he went over the conversation TALK TALK 3275847336 I could see no wrong but he said dont ever get a job in customer service, "Well feck me i said, "what colour jeez"
Punter turned up and bought the car anyway,

When that happens you start regulating who you do favours for, I rarely get asked to print stuff anymore ain't worth the grief still get the odd mate at footy asking "can you do me 100 programmes for our pubs race night" !!

We're a commercial digital printers printing millions of labels & leaflets each day for likes of 3M M&S, Thorntons Chocolates, Tesco's etc etc and people can't understand why we can't/wont print 100 A4 black & whites sheets of copier paper.

Funny you mention this, since the turn of the year I have much the same problem in than I lose my internet connection on a regular basis, everything will be working fine then nothing, click to reconnect and it connects instantly...
I work on a “connect3” dongle, what I have also noticed for much about the same time is the speed at which my computer works, I have mentioned this problem before, my computer tends to work at what I would call normal speed when flicking between threads/pages etc, but if they have pictures such as the count by images and the Matt/Beau Peep threads they take ages to load... But what I have noticed is, when I am on the computer in the early hours of the morning images etc load instantly, I still have the disconnection problem no matter what time it is, have been thinking about reporting issues to “connect3” as I’m beginning to think problem is at their end rather than with my computer...
    Any thoughts!

Now he looks like a nice man. And he can talk talk for England too. If there was an election tomorrow I would vote for him. However if he ever gets to be in number 10 I suspect he may resort to type and do little or anything that he is currently saying. Never mind talk the talk, walk the walk is what I say.
Back on topic my daughter is with Talk Talk and she is having mega problems with slow loading and dropping out too. I will tell her all about this and get her to talk to Nigel. Now was it Nigel Singh or Nigel Patel?

No, Deffo Nigel Smith, Now i'm thinking patel gets a bonus for shifting set top boxes, So cut them out and go direct to cancel a set top box, that way you get to talk to somebody that has a clue what the fecks going on, ie Nigel, - UK Smith TALK TALK 294053457

Change provider. Tell them you want an opt out clause if there isn't an improvement. I threatened my provider with moving to another crowd and hey presto, I suddenly started getting pretty near top speed all the time as opposed to late at night. The contention ratio is meant to be (afaik) 48:1. I'd say there are feck all suppliers who adhere to this on their more basic packages.
