    .
Police have arrested a man being hunted in connection with an alleged abduction of a three-year-old girl in the Canary Islands.
The 62-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted kidnap in London, after a public appeal was launched by Thames Valley Police.
In January last year a family from Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, were on holiday in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote, when a man is thought to have attempted to kidnap the girl in a shopping centre.

Took 15 months to put his mug shot up on tinternet eh? Marvellous policing. And remember lads, if you see little children looking like they might be lost whilst on holiday keep well clear. He may of course be perfectly innocent.......Mind you, I said that about Philpott. I just couldnt believe that a man would set fire to his house with his kids inside.......

Worse than that Vince. They could have released his picture immediately and nabbed him before he left the island.

Most of those cops who check your passport at the departure gate look like they are about to die of boredom anyway. Still, at least they still have jobs eh?

How do you act suspicious sitting on the beach? What if the kiddie who had wandered out of the shop (parents not keeping a very good eye on) was lost and the guy was trying to find out where she was last. Like V I think he could be innocent Man held over holiday 'kidnap bid' 1498946960 Sometimes the press are too quick to grab a story - let's wait and see if other things come out but there's nowt like hanging him before he goes to trial

We carry our id cards everywhere, if I saw a kid in distress I would not hesitate to help but if any flack comes our way we just show our childsafe cards.

Yes its frightening to think it could be an innocent act of kindness but why was he leading her around a corner into an alleyway, I would also help a child but wouldn't take her out of a shopping area, I would ask a shop keeper to help, stay with her in a shopwith a shop keeper until the police were called and arrived, you have to be careful these days, I mean a child in a shopping area its more likely that its parents are in there somewhere.
