Spanish resort fined for not speaking Spanish

According to local government sources, the owners of a tourist establishment at Maspalomas, on the isle of Gran Canaria of Spain’s Canary Islands, were fined this week 600 euros when authorities found that no one working at the establishment could speak Spanish.

There was a law brought in sometime last year that said all bars and restaurants had to have at least 1 person who spoke Spanish available at all times - seems they are toughening up on these laws, it will be illegal lettings next

The sooner everybody speaks english, Which is the number one language anyway, The better we will all get along,

I have told you before what I do. I wait for them to stick their towel on said sunbed. They then always put a book down as they read a lot. I wait for them to go and tear the last two pages out of the book.
