i like paul - i think he deserves to still be in F1 next season.
he had a few DNFs recently but they seemed more related to the car than anything he did

Money talks, Half the drivers in it payed to drive when they started out, Most of them come from very well off familys, So if Paul sneaked in on merit and didnt deliver wether or not its the cars fault your out,
Classic example near me is Young Tordoff in saloon cars, JCT 600 group, Jack Tordoff's grandson,

Aren't some of the drivers bringing millions into a team with their sponsorship. Probably from Daddy's company.

Thats the game Dermot, great riches if you do well, but like any motor sport very expensive hobby,
I was involved in F1 Stock cars in the eightys, we blew £2800 in one night, and nearly got killed in the process did one season and walked away, the top teams were companys like transport and engineering, big bucks, we were 4 mechanics doing it for a laugh,

haha you can thank Brian for thatThe Lone Ranger wrote: I've got a daughter who's into F1 and I never knew!
i totally agree with the sponsorship thing
there are good drivers who prob won't get a race cos they are bringing no money to the teams
last race of the season and Mclaren finally make a showing (although still not top form)
hopefully they can put this season behind them and move on

Re: Paul di Resta may move to IndyCar.
Be nice if Ross Brawn moved to Mclaren and showed Mercedes a thing or two,
Brawn took Honda on for £1 and won the constructors and drivers championship,
Even with Button, who is no greatest driver,
