Remember when our girls were younger badgered us into going to Alton Towers for the new ride, so booked a weekend stayed over near by so we could get to park early, was like a military operation all planned up early got there so early we were 3rd in car park aye to get in go parked legged it out of car park raced down to ride (could run in those days before knees packed in).
Got to it youngest looked up and mutters the immortal words "not going on that seen how high it is" eldest " well if she's not I'm not"
Me and better half ended up on it, always been scared of heights but that was pants filling stuff !.
Wandered the park looking for 'lesser' rides they could go on, got pay back when on water flume they both got drenched but we somehow didn't !.
Needless to say family days out were less expensive after that, total waste of money, Travel lodge on the Friday night & B&B in Uttoexter the Saturday night and fuel never mind spend inside Alton Towers.
