My electric windows in my van r acting up. When going up they both slow down to nearly a stop in the middle bit and then speed up for the last bit. Is it an expensive repair job and could i do it myself?

Re: Reg or Vince. Help needed
Combination of cold weather, Low voltage - because of the cold weather, Hard window rubbers,
All you can do is only use them when its been running a while -So the battery is charged right up,
Also spray some lubrication on the ruuber tracks down the side of the windows, Not too much or it will get on the glass and you wont see feck all,
Once the weather warms up it will go back to normal, crap,

Have been googling this. Some silicone lubricant seems to be the cheapest option before replacing the window assembly. Will get some on the weekend and try that

It's a quote from a Panorama program I was watching about the Winter Olympics, don't know why I posted it there, probably something to do with the KY jelly...
