Air con needed in El Medano?
Came across a lovely apartment in El Medano, right on the beach. Would we need air con there during the summer months? I would suspect not, given that it is quiet breezy there.

3rd I don´t know anyone who has air con, I know many holiday makers think they can´t do without it but I reckon that last year was the hottest we have had and I would have liked it for maybe a week but the rest of the time, turn the ceiling fans on, keep the windows open and the curtains drawn during the day.

Boy did we suffer the summer before last without it Gypsy. Nightime was unbearably hot, so bad that the sheets would stick to you when turning over. It meant that we all were constantly tired. We swore then, never again. But this apartment looks amazing with a big terrace overlooking the beach ( literally, if you dropped something over the side, it would land on sand ). So, I was hoping that the sea breeze would keep the place cool. Btw, do you sleep with windows ajar? If so, what about the mozzies?

Storage heaters some buildings I wouldnt be without aircon, i think its a bit cooler the higher up you get, Hence the snow on the top, We put ours on when we go out to dinner, then we come back to a fridge, an hour later the place is red hot, Last August - September we had it on all night and the fan over the bed, So i believe its a bit hotter front line. Even the apartment inside the complex feels cooler, cant remember needing to leave it on in that one, So

In the summer we sleep with the windows wide open but we do have mossie nets to keep the buggers out. This time of the year we have them ajar and last night I got up to close them as it was chilly.

3rd, our mossie netting is fitted, it is in sliding doors and instead of glass it has netting so not something you could use on a temporary basis.

Re: Air con needed in El Medano?
A good air flow is all you need, as long as you can open doors/windows at opposite ends of accommodation you will achieve a breeze even on the stillest of nights [honest]
