When i say sun city i mean its light enough to see where you are going without a torch.
Its like living in a swamp this blady over crowded island, I should just piss off on my own

Morning everyone. I'm on a sickie...drove into work this morning and my guts were killing me. 25 mile journey. Phoned the boss and told him I'm not signing in, I'm going home again. 25 miles back again.

Morning all. No leccy in sockets this morning. Checked everything, no joy. Any kind of a load at all would trip the rcd. Electrician here for four hours ( hes a mate) . Finally came up with something somewhere is putting a very low voltage onto the copper ( either wiring or pipes). He had/has to take out every earth in the fuse board ( bear in mind earth goes from every switch and socket ) separate them all, plug them back in one at a time, find which circuit its causing the break on, and then turn on and off everything on that circuit until we find the fault. He's coming back on Wed. Meanwhile, not all the earths are reconnected

So if something's feeding the pipes, and it ain't from the socket circuit cos it's RCD's cut out, why not trip all the RCD's then switch them on one at a time and see which one the feed is coming from...

It was the main socket RCD ( not the mains switch ) that was tripping when any load was put on it. Where that load came from didn't matter so the fault wasn't confined to just one circuit. ( even the outside light was tripping it at one stage though the original electrician seems to have just made up the wiring diagram for the fuse board )

Good evening. My money is on the washing machine, fridge or freezer. Just remove earth cable from faulty appliance, sorted. Of course you may experience a small shock when you go to open the door with no shoes on.
Patsy called electrician once when I was away, turned out to be the wiring in the garage. Still using a long extension to this day out there. Priorities innit.

Morning everyone. Not too bad up here today, wind's gone and I'm sure if I squint hard enough I can see a wee bit blue in the sky...

I'm on a sickie! As Reg says, a lesser man would be in hospital on a drip, but I struggle through the pain and get on with it...( I've pulled a stomach muscle or something and I've had a cough for weeks now. Everytime I cough it's agony!)

Oh dear, there's a lot of it going around. TD has one of those coughs he couldn´t get rid of, so did Carol. You sure you did´t have a few sneaky days holiday without telling Mermaid?? Hope you feel better soon. xx

There is a bad dose doing the rounds. Darragh is sick again since Sunday night with a high temperature. He threw up this morning. Eileen is bringing him to the doctors at 12:00
