My old pal who lived next door died this evening. 41 years old. Another brain tumour statistic.  

Jeez I have shoes older than that, so tragic has he left a young family?

3 year old and a 15 month old Gypsy. He married a Russian girl. She kept a Facebook page of how he was doing over the last few months (inc photos). Don't think I could do that, but if it helped her get through it, good on her.

That is so sad, those poor babies and his wife probably feeling more foreign than ever. I am sure she will have caring supportive neighbours in you and Eileen.

No, it was when we were kids M. His family lived next door to mine. He was a quiet decent likeable bloke even then. I hope his missus stays in Ireland. I think it would kill Sean's parent s if she moved home with the kids. She from a place about 400 miles east of Moscow. We have a lovely saying over here, "Ni bheidh a leithead ann aris". It means "his like will not be here again". I think I would like that on my grave though no one would believe it
