Loads of places in El Medano, lots of them doing pancakes. A couple of places worth mentioning are Café M on the boardwalk and Flashpoint by Hotel Playa Sur and just off the main square La Boheme.
Never eaten in Candelaria other than visit the ice cream shop which is near the open air car park. They do good cakes too.

Restaurant called Familiar in El Medano is really good in fact it is brilliant[closed afternoons reopens 1830 hrs] also the best Chinese I have ever eaten in called Hong Kong in fact the only poor food we have eaten in El Medano was in the one nearest red square at the bottom bus stop
