Apart from Placeres, are there other nice restaurants (general cuisine) in Los Abrigos and can I walk there from Gold del Sur?

Yes and yes, the second depends on how long you booked for and do you you want your wife and kids ever to speak to you again....

Re: Los Abrigos restaurants
Despite what Adam says it is an easy walk during the day can´t do it at night because it means crossing rough ground so you or the kids would end up in hospital!!
Yes lots of nice places to eat, Los Roques very expensive. the fish place overlooking the harbour is supposedly very good but because it is mainly fish I haven´t been.
Food is excellent at Scarpetta but the owner is a pain in the arse, thinks he is being funny but IMO just OTT

Only ever been in the ones around the harbour, like my seafood so no complaints...
