Not sure if you remember not even sure if anyone cares lol but you may remember one of my hobbies is radio and making contacts all over the world.
Back in March I bought a 9 metre roach pole and connected a homemade wire antenna to it, its just normal household electrical wire cut to the correct length for the frequency, WOW it blasts out all over the world better than any commercial antenna Ive bought, I was well impressed with it and so was my mate, he paid £300 for a second hand antenna lol.
Anyway I tried it on the cb bands (no licence needed) chatting to radio operators all over the USA with 50 watts power.
Other long distance places I got too, not gonna mention the european contacts as I can get them all day long now............
