Hi!!

I'm Vickie, thought I'd introduce myself. I'm moving to the island in September after having spent more time there than in the uk in my life. Taking the plunge is a bit daunting so if anyone can offer me some advice then it will all be welcomed!

I'm 23 so I was wondering if anyone on here is around my age, would  love to meet new people and make some great new friends. I'm always up for a laugh and won't turn down a beer or two if offered :)

Hiya Vickie, welcome to the forum. There should be loads of advice re: moving to Tenerife as one of our members only moved there last year. Some of the others are also residents ( both part time and full time). Any questions, ask away and we'll do our best to answer them.

You won't believe this Vickie but most members on here are over 35!    They're all ancient!    But seriously, if you've any questions just ask away. "Gypsy" is our mum on here    and she's lived on the Island for years so I'm sure she'll have most of the answers you need. Have fun!

We also have Billy boy who was my x foster lad who is 20 that lives with us so don't panic over age. Now advice, as a recent mover I and others will be happy to help with whatever, do you speakie de lingo

Welcome to the fun Forum Vickie. I am young and athletic but sadly I dont drink.  

Thanks for all the replies. Trust me I don't feel young lately but if you can put me in touch with some my age that would be great to see what you all get up to living there as opposed to just long holidays that would be great. I arrive on 5th September and can't look for accommodation for me and my friend till august apparently. Do you know of anyone who does long lets in Los cris or las Americas area. Two bedroom preferably?
And I'm teaching myself at the mo. I can get by!

Drinking isn't a must. I do coffee :) anything really. Like to be sociable!

Seriously Vickie consider a village like Adeje as bus service great, cheaper to live in all ways and great social life.Loads of youngsters in villages.

Ill look into it, i know the island very well so i'm okay, just need to find somewhere to live, we can always move later down the line.

Great advice so far, don´t even consider living in the resorts unless you want to pay top dollar rent or intend falling home every night drunk as a skunk.  Even so you could still save even getting a taxi to the villages a mile or so uphill from the resorts.

I don't drink alcohol........well not first thing in morning.
