So, let me see if I've got this right: A disabled pilot can land his commercial plane complete with passengers BUT he wouldn't be allowed to sit in an emergency exit seat as this could compromise the safety of the passengers in the event of an accident CRAZY!

While equal opportunities is all well and good something's beggar belief, yet another example of airlines double standards.
Drunk pilots, pilots with loose prosthetics and they still say flying is the safest form of transport
Could I still drive if I had a false leg, do DVLA allow someone with a false leg to drive a manual call ?

Airline statistics, shite, when they claim it's the safest form of travel they base it on passengers per mile, so basically very few passengers and lots of miles = lies...

We employed a lad as a class one heavy goods vehicle driver, lower part of his right arm was missing, he had a ball socket gizmo that he clamped to the sterling wheel, and a socket gizmo that he strapped to his arm, when driving the two clipped together so his arm was constantly attached to the steering wheel,,, you wouldn't think it would be allowed...
Had another lad who also had a class one licence, went on a right bender one night, next day he's throwing up violently, passes out and wakes up in hospital, they kept him in for about a day, they put the passing out down to him being dehydrated, but told him he would have to surrender his car and class one licence, he appealed this decision, had private costly medicals carried out, after a year they gave him back his car licence, but said he would have to go three years with no sign of reoccurrence of the blackout before they would give him his class one licence back,,, yet we had another lad who only had a car licence, he's involved in an accident, received severe brain damage, almost died, was in hospital for months, eventually returns to work, couldn't do his job due to being unable concentrate on the task he was set, should say he also had to surrender his car licence, got it back after about a year, despite trying to get him back in to doing his job, it just wasn't happening, so it's decided to relocate him to another position, discussions took place, he was keen to retrain as a class one driver, we thought there's no chance of him passing the HGV medical with his history, but no, they gave him his licence...
