Any gays in your family?
My daughter seems to have got bored playing football and being a team coach, (boys team not girls). Now she has joined the RAF on a part time basis. They will teach her to drive lorries which she is much relishing. Have a feeling she wont stop there, she's eyeing up those old 747's........... Seems to be the only one of my kids with bollocks. Strange because she has had 4 children....... I didnt teach her to drive but I have noticed she drives like me, only with a sort of limp wrist action on the wheel. A few weeks ago she was pulled up for doing 98 on a single carriageway road with bends on it, she had the kids in the back, they let her off with a warning........ They were probably impressed and had trouble catching up.

They have seat belts now to stop them bouncing off the windscreen, mine used to jump up and down on the back seat back in the day. They all survived so it was either luck or the competence of the driver, least said the better.........

Re: Any gays in your family?
I had a mate killed on a country bend, very competent driver, woman with kids in the car speeding took the bend and was half way over his lane clipped him, straight down the bank and dead, her kids were seriously injured despite wearing seat belts as she spun in to a tree and a van behind came around the bend and smacked the side in, she was supposedly competent too......not funny.

Re: Any gays in your family?
50 in one house in Bradford, but they aint gay, I have some Gay friends , well living in the Brighton area for so long it is impossible not to have. Most of them there is no difference other than behind close doors. I actually know two Lesbian couples very well and they are very respectable hard working and affluent peeps, most of us know a Gay person within our circles, there are dodgy ones you need to be careful of but most are just in their own Gay life, I don´t condemn it, not for many of us but each to their own. Religion is far different as that is slammed at you, that is very public and people that do take part try and dirty you if you do not, feck off.

Excellent post TD, I fully agree I have had many gay friends over the years some I knew immediately others it took me a long while before I realised. They have without exception all been honest decent people who would hurt nobody and just get on with their own lives. Unlike some of the slime-ball catholic priests

Re: Any gays in your family?
It strikes me that the gay community is a bit like the free masons used to be like , if you have a gay mate in high places all doors are open, especially in T.V / show business

Re: Any gays in your family?
I'm with Reg. Don't care what anyone does as long as it doesn't affect me badly. Don't know why gay pride marches are the "in thing". If love is genderless and they are the same as anyone else, wtf are they marching for? Equal rights is a different matter. I can see the reason behind those marches. We have that going on here at the moment. We will have a referendum in a few months on whether to allow gay marriage or not. I'm all for it. Don't see why a gay couple can't benefit from e.g. being assessed as a married couple re: income tax etc. Gay couples adopting children?? I'm not sure about that one yet. Btw, I still don't like the whole concept of homosexuality but I'm in no position to judge.

If it wasn't for gays we wouldn't have show business! It's amazing the amount of big name entertainers who are household names...

So Kev thinks gay is supposed to have a capital letter, like God then.
