K9 News Update October 2014
Sunday 19th October is the K9 Kennels Open Day from 2pm. Come along and say Hola to the dogs and cats. There are Stalls with Clothing, Cakes, Crafts & Books as well as the sale of Soft Drinks, a BBQ, slices of yummy gateaux and a Tombola. Come and check out the kennel refurbishment work, thanks to think.pet solutions. The K9 2015 Calendar will be on sale priced at €5.00. An ideal and useful Christmas gift. (I know the tombola will be good because I gave 12 bottles of wine!!)
Monday 24th November is the annual Alcala to Playa San Juan & return Sponsored Walk from 10am outside the Medical Centre. Dogs on a lead are welcome but not more than one to each handler. This is followed by a Social afternoon at El Veril in Alcala Plaza from 2pm. Hosted jointly by Stevie D and Christine. There will be the usual excellent raffle prizes.
Sunday’s 26th Octobers and 30th November are the Car Boot Sale’s at Los Gigantes Bus Station from 9am till 12.30pm. Large selection of second hand clothing, Bric a Brac and Books. Plus the sale of the K9 2015 Calendar at €5.00 Ordinarily I wouldn't by second-hand clothes but I did get a Next 100% linen dress which looked brand new for €2 so worth looking
Saturday 29th November is the Friends of the Animals Christmas Buffet Dinner at El Marques in Puerto Santiago from 8.00pm. Tickets now on sale at €20. Dancing to a live band till late.
The K9 Christmas Dinner is being held at the Restaurante Cueva “El Campesino” in Aldea Blanca on Saturday 6th December from 7.30pm. All Star Cabaret is provided by Aidy Evans & Storm Duo. 4 course meal with drinks. Tickets €20.00 are now on sale at the kennels or from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Large car park. Great night!
K9 Shop in Alcala Plaza, is open each day except Sunday from 10am till 2pm. Scores of bargains and donated items come into the shop every day. Please contact Muriel on 646561035 if you have items to donate that require collection. Thanks.
We have a clothing stall at Alcala market each Monday and a second hand book stall each Thursday at Fanabe Market. Both are morning’s only.
