GB driving licence - FACTS not FICTION

i see the ´´usual suspects´´ are trying on the ´´you cant use you GB licence and you need to pay (us) to get it sorted for you.
For the millllllonith time 
1. IF YOU HAVE ANY  EU DRIVING LICENCE IT IS VALID TILL IT EXPIRES OR 1/1/33 
2. THE FACT YOU DONT LIVE AT THE ADDRESS ON IT IS NOT IMPORTANT 
3. YOU HAVE TO CONFORM WITH SPANISH MEDICAL TESTS

I didn't know til this year that you are meant to carry ID with you at all times in Tenerife. I never carry ID. Don't know anyone who does.

Do you? I just wonder what happens if a tourist has his/her passport robbed when out for an evening? Whats the penalty for not having ID with you? Are the kids expected to have it as well??

thats why its got low crime ...police can also stop any car for no reason ....also if you driving a car and you cant show yor driving licence or insurence they kick you out a tow it away ..

ID is issued to anyone over 14 in spain (the legal age for sex  ) . no one else has a passport to live/move in the eu ,just a credit card size ID card ...

you can move between all the countries below without showing any ID as they dont have any border posts

• a lot of brits get their main passport page colour copied and put inside hard plastic ,same size as EU ID card .ive used it for year in banks supermarkets etc ...even cops accept it ..
  
  

How come I can't get out of UK without a passport then? (Or back in for that matter!). Didn't we sign up to the Schengen doodah?

nope the UK is NOT  in schengen ,so it is treated the same as if you went to china or south america .also EU people can use their ID cards (the italian one can be got from the post office for €20 and is a single sheet of A4 paper to get into the UK ,but because there are no UK ID CARDS you require a FULL 32 PAGE PAPER PASSPORT to get back in your own country ...which in all europe you have to have even on the beach ,,,,

china or us tourist require a single visa to visit ALL the countries in the EEA ,got from any of the EU embassies in their country ,but require a totally seperate one to vist the UK ..

im afraid IRELAND is stuck with the CTA otherwise you would have to have major border posts between NORTH and SOUTH ,but where it can it has gone it alone .EURO/KM/NUMBER PLATES ..i look at IRELAND now as to where SCOTLAND will be in 2025 ..the UK is the only country that will not be in the euro in the future as even danmark is fixed to the euro in all but name ,,,
