Curiosity, what was the event he was talking at, was a bit confused about it all, the majority of the crowd seemed to on his side by the applause he was getting, but when the begging bowl went round they were all stuffing the money in,,, remember getting dragged to one of them kids communion things, only reason I went cos there was a piss up after it (all very religious) and the only reason the parents were putting their kids through it was because it got them in to a better school in the area if they believed in god,,, but the church thing, feck me, I thought I was in a gymnasium, them twats were up and down on their knees every two minutes chanting some shit in a voice as if they'd kicked in the nuts, and when the begging bowl came round and I put feck all in it, that didn't go down to well with the other half, plus the wine was shite...

Had to laff at the begging bowl, do churches have accountants or is a bit like we dont pay rates either

Long time since the Catholic Church had any sway on the peeps over here. Particularly since all the child abuse scandals came out. Did you know that the Irish government indemnified the R.C. church against any claims over 125 million euro 10 years ago??. Cunts. I'm no fan of the present government but at least the PM had the balls to lambast the RC church for covering up all the abuse priests and said the rot went all the way to the Vatican. The Vatican told the government to keep its nose out of its affairs. The Irish government closed the embassy in the Vatican as a response. We have turned into probably to most anti religion society in the western hemisphere (thankfully).

Was just reading something the other day, if you own your own home and it's within I think it was three miles of a medieval parish church which has a vicar, and the church is in need of repair, you are liable for your share of the of the costs...

Would like to see the local preacher knock my door and try and get a penny out of me,,,

Oh, and it was a legal document I was reading through for a friend who is buying their house, and it came up in one of the searches that one of theses churches fell within the area...
