Janet and me just telling our two about jimmy, I was just saying about how he would glide past us lot in his white rolls, and throw a handfull of sweets out, At the top of consort terrace, His mothers house, First time we all saw real gold, his door handles were made of it, Later he would come up and kick a ball about on his way to the shop, (stanways) for his cigars, I was once gawping through the window of Appleyard & Rippon at the Rolls Royces, When he pulled up in his grey mini van, He said now then now then, which ones yours, I just laughed, He said thats mine over there, He was always buying the things, I had to wait until i was 27 for my first one, Second hand of course, He had a big influence on us poor sods, its out there get it, I told you the story of his musical air horns on his camper van, First thing i bought for my first car, Cost more than the blady car, but i had to have them like jimmy, He's cost me a lot of money over the 50 years ive known him, Worth every penny, Worth every laugh.
He also had a california vw camper, I beat him to that one, He drove to his place in glen coe,
Then slept outside in the camper, ?, He stopped riding about in flash cars early on, He realised it didnt mean a thing, So he always had something normal tucked away, Going to be intresting what he has left, I know he gave loads to charity, Hope it was most of it, Cant see him wanting to pay much death duty, He was canny,
Had a couple of txts from the old gang, Just, "Jimmys gone"
