Re: On this day in History...
Few years back I'm at a corporate event, company organising it say we've sat you next to the after dinner speaker as you speak the same language,,, Docherty... During lunch we got on to the subject of Ferguson who was still with United at the time, strange fecker Ferguson he says, and goes on to tell this story, Fergusons fell out with his wife and is living in a hotel, Docherty says I consider him as a friend so I say to him come and stay at my place until things blow over, it's a big house and there's only me and the wife there, Ferguson accepts the invitation,,, Dochertys wife's well pissed off, couldn't get rid of him, treated the place like a hotel, expected meals to be brought to his room, left the dirty plates outside the room door along with his washing and shoes to be cleaned,,, This went on for weeks, eventually he moves back in with his wife... Then a few years later Dochertys working with a local Manchester radio station, he done a Saturday morning football show, Docherty says he criticised Fergusons team selection for their previous game which united had lost, Ferguson never spoke to him ever again...

Re: On this day in History...
One of those things I remember where I was when I heard about it...
JFK
Lennon
Nine Eleven
Seven Seven
In order:-
As a kid getting on a bus after seeing the Gang Show, didn't really understand what it was all about, but it was on a bus at the side of the Kings Theatre Edinburgh...
Driving to the eye hospital Edinburgh after being to a local optician where I worked who told me I had a bit of metal stuck in my eye (I knew that cos that's why I went to the optician in the first place), exact place, M9 motorway just under the Kirkliston flyover...
Arrived at one of our depots, gave all the staff a ticking off for standing around listing to the radio, I'd had a CD on driving there...
Landing mainland Spain for a weekend break and wondering what's all the security about...
Oh and Piper Alpha, driving to work, M9, just opposite Tams place...

I remember that Lisa Pott's teacher. She physically put herself between the attacker and the children. They are the sort of people who should be running countries, not the old boys network that has dominated for 2 centuries.
