We booked it all online as it worked out cheaper for the hotel we chose. Only thing we need to do now is organise transfers. I had a look online and can book a private transfer for £43.69 return, does that sound about right ?

Re: All booked up
Nice one. Just to let you know, a taxi would be 25 to 30 euro and are plentiful at the airport. If you give me the address or street name, I'll be able to work it out for you ( give or take a couple of euro)

Re: All booked up
I've found there ain't much difference between pre booked and normal taxi, that's to PDLA area, so off the plane and taxi rank like Dermo says and your there in fifteen minutes or so...

12 sleeps. Hope they stop this plane bombing malarky. Its extremely cold at 31,000 feet. That reminds me, must get the car ordered before all the Sharm El Seikh sunshine hunters end up in Tenerife.

Re: All booked up
Looked on Auto Reisen site and car as gone up £30 in two weeks, blox, should have booked it then. I shall wait to see what happens. Worse scenario is Freddie gets to learn how to use a bus. Bus Virgins.

You snooze you lose, in my experience once the prices start to rise they don't tend to drop again.

Re: All booked up
Probably right. Although with that firm it can go down too. Took wrong passport to airport once and had to rebook car for following day, it was miles cheaper! Cancelled out what Monarch charged me for rebooking plane, think it was £40. Of course nowadays you lose the feckin lot! Booked it now £100, I will check on Monday to see if its cheaper.

Re: All booked up
I got Autoreisen for 30 euro cheaper after initially booking last year. Vince is right, that particular company can drop their prices ( probably the only car hire company I know of to do this)

Re: All booked up
G
Should bloody listen to my own advice, when we booked this break we were just looking for something cheap, got the flights at a reasonable price, booked a hotel through On The Beach only to get a phone call the next day saying the hotel we had selected was fully booked, girl says there is avalibilty in the Hotel Columbus which is just round the corner from the hotel you had booked, I say I looked at that but it was to expensive (about £250 more), she says I can do it at same price,,, result...
When booking the hotel we also booked transfers, as previously said I normally use taxies, but we were trying to do this one on the cheap and Annie had noticed if we booked transfers with the hotel it was only £8 each return, so £16 as opposed to about €44 on taxies, script said no more than 30 minute wait and a maximum of four drops,,, bollocks,,, two and a quarter hours of my life wasted, wait was over the half hour, reason, we were waiting for other flights to land, then three drops in the Golf, one in Los Cris, then one in PDLA just down the road from our hotel, then us, so we were the sixth drop, and the bus was still half full, so max of four drops my arse,,, it will be a taxi on the way back and an e-mail once I have a couple more pints in me to On The Beach...

Re: All booked up
I know I shouldn't have looked but the flight prices have dropped since I booked , and the euro rate has gone up as well, I thought it had peaked at 1.375 last week but its now a whisker away from 1.40
