Kingsmill Multi-seeded loaf: When I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes last year it was suggested I should not eat white bread anymore so I tried the brown bread but to be honest I'm not a great fan so tried the multi seeded stuff instead. Well, very tasty it is too! Now usually I get it from LIDL which is fine and costs I think 75p but I was in ASDA last week and I bought two loaves of multi-seeded Kingsmill @ £1 each. Absolute shite! It falls apart if you try and spread even soft butter on it and if you try and toast it then it falls apart inside the toaster and tastes like stale bread! You would struggle to spread olive oil on it ffs.   Still, on the plus side you can easy make bread crumbs with it, just rub it between your fingers and job done. Your budgie or garden dwellers will appreciate the seeds.........

For the first time in years I bought a Scottish loaf of plain bread, we normally buy uncut fresh bread, but really enjoyed the old fashioned stuff, didn't realise it has a very distinct taste especially when toasted, will be buying more in future.

Scottish girl I know who has lived in Manchester since being a kid, every time I head up to Scotland she allways asks me to bring back a plain loaf, I usually bring her a couple, still a cheap date...

Love a plain loaf every now and then, the taste is great and the crusts are tasty too! It seems to make a ham and mustard piece taste better too!

OOh, 15 replys about bread. Now I know what you like. I was slightly perturbed in Tenerife when I noticed the ex-pats buying Kingsmill sliced bread from Iceland, think it was about 2€, frozen, and yet you can buy one of those long rolls from a proper baker shop out there for 30 cents.    I know which I prefer.
